WorldCitizen Settings Walkthrough

You can find WorldCitizen settings under the Appearance WordPress menu.

Header

If you prefer to have a logo instead of a type title.

Footer

To modify the small text at the very bottom of the theme (such as copyright, mentions, etc.)

Fonts

To define the fonts that will be used througout your website. You can choose between web-safe font families or the entire range of Google Fonts. For Google Fonts to work you must have activated the Google Fonts API.

Home & Blog Pages

To select which application you would like to display on your Homepage:

  • A sticky post
  • A slideshow of posts
  • A video
  • An interactive map
  • Nothing at all!

Video

You can feature a video reader (Vimeo / Youtube / Dailymotion) by simply entering its web address (URL) in the text field. Videos are responsive: they will automatically inherit the width and correct proportions based on your theme layout.

If you chose to display the map on your Homepage, you can customize it here (map style, pins, filters, etc.)

Latest Posts Map

Slideshow

If you chose to display the slideshow on your Homepage, you can customize it here (dimensions, content, transitions, navigation, etc.)

Sticky Post

If you chose to display the Sticky Post on your Homepage, you can customize it here (dimensions, display and style).

The Sticky Posts uses WordPress Sticky Post function. To set up an article as a Sticky Post in WordPress, under your Post edit screen, click on the Edit link next to Visibility. Check the Stick this post to the front page option.

Thumbnail Resizer

If you are transitioning from another theme and you already have content in place, this tool will allow you to resize all your WordPress thumbnails accordinly, for a proper display.
